These sessions invite students into an examination of the ethical considerations associated with research and thoughtful action. A key component of this discussion is an introductory overview of research and thoughtful action methods. Participation in this two-part workshop fulfills half of the eligibility requirements to collect data from human or nonhuman beings; to do thoughtful action interventions or social change projects; or to work in sacred spaces. The second part of the workshop assists people in developing their Research Ethics Initial Screening Forms. (If you are planning to submit an IRB proposal, you need to have attended Part 1 of these workshops in the past year. You still need to come to Part 2 this round if you are submitting an IRB proposal this semester.)
